saw it. pinned it. did it: ribbon hair ties + a giveaway!

After a missing a few Thursdays of Saw it. Pinned it. Did it. I am back to link up with the lovely Katie and Steph to show you my latest project (with a special surprise to follow!)

{ original source }

All you need is stretch elastic and sharp scissors to ensure no frayed edges. I ordered mine from Sunshine Shoppe online. I ordered 11 different colors (including one velvet and one glitter) and my total came to a little over $10. Each yard yields about 4-5 hair ties = about 50 hair ties for $10 = a heck of a lot cheaper than Anthro or Sephora! & you get to pick your own mix of colors!

Here’s what to do:

– Wrap the elastic around your wrist leaving an extra inch on each side

– Cut the elastic. To avoid frayed edges: cut on an angle.

– Hold two ends of the elastic and wrap them around one finder and then pull through the loop.    Be careful not to pull on the edges.

BUT if you’re not feeling crafty to make these on your own, I will be giving away 12 hair ties to one lucky reader!

Includes these colors:

The Classics

burgundy // silver // navy // cream

The Party Pack

hot pink // white glitter // velvet emerald // navy

Spring Neutrals

light blue // yellow // cream // olive
