my dream home office

Working from home has its perks. I can work all day in my pajamas, workout during my lunch (or take a quick walk to Lululemon or Joe Fresh and count that as my workout), refill my green tea at any time and don’t have to worry about any traffic or crowds. Also save money on gas or Metrocard.

But, working from a tiny NYC apartment with no office or even a desk, not so fun. Luckily, I don’t have a lot of stuff I need spread out at once but it is easy to lose track of things. I’ve done the work from Starbucks thing, but then I just end up people watching more than anything.

One must for my dream office, bookshelves. One day I dream of having just walls of shelves filled with books. I’m still old fashioned and like a hard copy of a book compared to downloading them on my iPad (except 50 Shades because I didn’t want people to see what I was reading on the plane).

Another must, a chalkboard wall. I am a huge list maker and probably have 8 different ones made right now. Yes, some of them may overlap but crossing them off is the best part. Putting all of my lists on one big chalkboard wall would be ideal.

I would take any of these please:

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 // 8

I guess I could take this one too if I had to…

Living in NYC you definitely realize things you may have taken advantage of that you had before (a desk, car or most importantly: a walk in closet).

This next week I’ll be back to traveling for my first show this year (where I will have my own desk!!)

Anyone else work from home?

These are beautifullll! I think I am most excited about owning my own home one day because it means I will hopefully have a roomy home office to decorate 🙂
