2012: a year in review

Another year has gone by and a great one it was. I am looking forward for new memories and adventures in 2013, but before that, I would like to share with you my favorite experiences of 2012…

+  Climbing to the top of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona

+  Taking a tour of the haunted Hotel San Carlos in Phoenix (where apparently the bicycle

scene from “The Shining” was shot.)

+  Taking a tour of the Atlanta Braves baseball stadium

+  Finally making the trip to Denver, Colorado to visit the BFF. Of course the weekend I was

there was biggest snow storm of the year.

+  April was a great month. Three amazing places in a week and a half.

+  San Francisco: lunch at Boudin Bakery, a freezing double-decker tour around the city & Irish

coffees at The Buena Vista to warm up.

+ Napa Valley: wine tastings at Bouchaine, Reata Winery, Ancien Wines and last but not least,

Hopper Creek. If you ever are in Napa Valley – Hopper Creek is THE place to go. But make sure

it is your last stop on the tour – it’s crazy fun.

+ Seattle: shopping at the market, getting fish tossed over our heads, Irish coffees at Kells, too

much shopping and making new friends! The weather was gorgeous while we were there, no rain

& it was so clear we were able to see the Olympic Mountains. Take me back!!

+  Spending most of the month in Miami, Florida for work. Celebrating my promotion & dinner

        boat cruises on the bay.

+  Cocktails and dinner in Chagrin Falls while Brittany was in CLE staying in my now vacation

+  Sundays down at Whiskey Island.

+  Weekend trip up to the Islands which led to a long 5 hours on Put-in-Bay..

+  Another work trip to Miami Biscayne Bay.

+  A Saturday at Shooter’s in the Flats.

+  A reunion with my college roommates in Cleveland.

+  In July, I think I was home in Cleveland for about 6 days.

+  First stop was Ft. Lauderdale, Florida then right to the Doral in Miami for the next week.

+  Last trip was to the Red Rocks Las Vegas where we went to minus 5 ice lounge and enjoyed the

desert heat for a day by the pool. (And experienced my first First Class upgrade!!)

+ And you may not think I actually work on these trips – so here’s one to prove it 🙂

+  Twilight at the Zoo in Cleveland, where each different area of the zoo hosts a different band and

all around the zoo are free drink & food tents.

+  Nana’s birthday (see more here)

+  Two weeks back to back in Orlando (but I have yet to go to Disney World!)

+  My Uncle’s wedding at our house Labor Day weekend.

+ Work trip to Dallas and getting to tour the Dallas Cowboy’s stadium – ending up with a pyramid

in the middle of the field.

+  Being able to work with one of my best friends from college.

+ I MOVED TO NEW YORK CITY! I still cannot believe I live here.

+ Celebrated Steve’s birthday (see more here)

+ My beautiful Goddaughter Olivia Rose was born.

+ Traveled to Boston to spend time with Steve’s family.

    + Survived Hurricane Sandy.

+  Steve’s brother came to visit is in NYC.

+  Holiday work party in Cleveland.

+  Surprising my brother in Kansas for Thanksgiving and his birthday.
